I’m Ross. I’ve spent years inside organisations whose maintenance and compliance lived in the same three places: a spreadsheet called assets_final_v3_USE_THIS.xlsx, a paper logbook in the boiler room, and someone’s head. The compliance failures, the audit-week panic, the agency cover when a hoist went down on a Saturday night — they were always preventable, and they were always made worse by the tools that were meant to fix them.

The maintenance software market is split in two. At the top, enterprise systems like Maximo and SAP that need a consultant army and a six-month rollout. At the bottom, US-built generic CMMS tools that don’t know what a CP12 is, never mind Awaab’s Law. Nothing in between for the UK SME that just needs the regulators off its back and the work order in the engineer’s hand.
